Andersen Windows’ “Project Summit” is a $420 million, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Locust Grove, Georgia, part of the Renewal by Andersen division. Located at The Cubes at Locust Grove industrial park, this facility marks the company’s first manufacturing site in Georgia. The project represents a significant investment in the local economy, boosting production capabilities and contributing to the continued growth and development of Henry County.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The electrical scope of work for Project Summit consisted of providing a complete core-and-shell electrical installation for a large industrial warehouse and associated site improvements. The work included furnishing and installing new electrical service infrastructure, utility transformers, main switchboards, distribution panelboards, feeders, grounding systems, and raceway systems serving the building and site. Interior work included branch circuit wiring for general power, convenience receptacles, dedicated equipment connections, and special-purpose outlets coordinated with base building requirements. A comprehensive interior lighting system was installed throughout the facility, including high-bay, low-bay, office, and support-area luminaires, along with lighting controls, occupancy sensors, and emergency lighting with exit signage.
Exterior electrical work included site lighting, building-mounted lighting, power for signage, security systems, and future provisions for expansion. The project included power distribution for dock equipment, compactors, gates, and miscellaneous site equipment. Emergency power systems were incorporated to serve life-safety loads, including emergency lighting and exit signage, coordinated with the generator and emergency panels. All work included required grounding, bonding, testing, labeling, and coordination with utility providers and other trades to deliver a code-compliant electrical installation ready for tenant build-out.
