Description:















White Electrical installed all aspects of the electrical distribution, instrumentation and controls, lighting, fire alarm, lightning protection, cable bus and cable trays.

  • Installation Of (4) DC battery systems and associated interface to UPS
    (Uninterrupted Power Supply)
  • Installation of over 300,000 of fiber optic cabling
  • Installation of over 150,000' of Aluminum conduit
  • Installation of Foxboro DCS system network and cabling
  • We installed 10,000' of cable bus and 16,000' of cable tray
  • Installation of 600V to 15KV Switchgear and MCC's
  • Calibration and installation of Instruments and Tubing
  • Design and installation of Heat Tracing System
  • Design and installation of Lightning Protection System
  • Megger and Hi Pot Testing up to 15KV
  • Cable Database Management
  • Systems Turnover Management
  • QA/QC Administration
   
Challenges:





  • Liquidated damages of up to $25,000.00 a day
  • Major scheduling interface required between multiple Contractors and craft persons
  • Existing Critical UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply) for each Unit was upgraded without any interruptions to Plant Operations
  • Peak craft manpower above 170 men
  • Overall craft Project Manpower peak at above 1400 men
   
Summary:



This was successful project for White Electrical and Summit Power Constructors. We
Completed each phase of the project on time and within budget. This enabled the owner to
meet EPA regulations within the performance of the FGD Scrubbers. We performed over
350,000 man hours with an incident rate of 1.2. We had over 287,000 man hours without a
recordable accident. We met all of the established milestones as required by the contract.
