Description:
|
- Design, furnish and install two 3000 amp 480/277
volt services in separate locations within the Building.
- Install electrical feeders and distribution panels
in strategic locations centralizing the distribution of
the branch circuits to the new HVAC equipment serving
the common areas and hotel units.
- Branch circuits to over 600 PTAC HVAC units in a
coordinated succession maintaining a fully functional
hotel without disrupting occupancy.
- Installation of wireless HVAC control systems serving
the hotel mechanical units.
- Installation of the Building Automation HVAC Control
System to ensure efficiency of the mechanical equipment,
including boilers, chillers, PTACs and air handling
units serving the building.

Challenges:
|
- The building is a fully operational hotel with about
90 percent occupancy which lodges mainly the military's
Wounded Warriors, prominent military leaders and guests.
The work was performed during normal business hours and
required minimal disturbances to building staff and
occupants.
- White Electrical Construction was required to
develop and maintain a highly detailed schedule of
activities coordinating the efforts of the General and
Mechanical Contractors to meet the occupancy
requirements and conference room utilization plan of the
facility.

Summary:
|
White Electrical Construction was able to complete this
project successfully and ahead of schedule. Building
staff and occupants were very pleased with the operation and
reliability of the newly upgraded HVAC system. |
